Getting Unstuck From Past Energy

No one likes to remember a negative situation or feeling from the past. While it is true that all circumstances are part of our lifelong journey, whether they are considered positive or negative, they don't have to have a certain pull on us any longer after we choose to disconnect from places, people, and situations especially if those circumstances are related to what no longer serves our greater good.

To move past those situations, we must do a complete cleansing when it comes to our energy. That way, we can move on with our lives without certain adverse, past circumstances triggering us through thoughts or feelings should they ever creep into our lives in the future. Here are some ways that you can implement change and progress in letting go of the past.

Let's get you back on track:

  1. Heal your soul - This step starts with forgiveness towards yourself, the person, and/or circumstance. Try to make peace with the circumstance in your own way, at your own pace. Realize that what happened made you who you are today and you are not defined by it.

  2. Let go of the attachment - When you start seeing the situation as just that, a dot in the grand scheme of things, and detach the feeling from it, you neutralize it, and it can become not as seemingly crucial as it once was for you.

  3. Visualize your new journey - Rewrite your story by thinking about what you learned from the circumstance. Maybe it was discernment, trust, or even believing in yourself more. There is always a silver lining, as cliche as it may sound.

  4. Move your body - A great way to move stagnant energy is to physically move your body, even if it means going for a walk or dancing. Picture those emotions exiting your body as you move. Movement can help ground you and remind you that you are safe and sound and that you are in control of your thoughts and actions.

Sometimes it may seem like moving past something difficult is impossible. But when you have the willingness to shift your perspective, heal spiritual wounds, and persevere, then you come out stronger on the other side. Please remember to take the time you need to let go and don't rush the process.
